"Pan-seared salmon glazed in a quick honey, soy and ginger sauce — ready in 20 minutes and endlessly repeatable on a weeknight."

🛒 Ingredients

Serves:2
  • 2salmon fillets(skin on)
  • 3 tbspsoy sauce
  • 2 tbsphoney
  • 1 tbsprice vinegar
  • 2cmfresh ginger(grated)
  • 2 clovesgarlic(minced)
  • 1 tspsesame oil
  • 1 tspsesame seeds(to serve)
  • 2spring onions(sliced)

🍳 Method

  • 1
Whisk soy, honey, vinegar, ginger and garlic in a small bowl.
  • 2
Pat salmon dry and season. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • 3
Sear salmon skin-side down for 4 minutes until crisp, then flip and cook 2 minutes.
  • 4
Pour in the sauce and spoon over the fish as it bubbles and thickens, about 2 minutes.
  • 5
Serve over steamed rice, scattered with sesame seeds and spring onions.
💡 Chef's Tips
Pat the salmon really dry before searing for the best crust. Don't let the glaze boil too long or it turns to toffee.
